Asia Music Summit Virtual 2021 (17th – 18th June)
Regional music markets open up opportunities for potential buyers to delve into the local music market, interact with the musicians and select bands to cater to their festivals. Asia Music Summit is one such initiative which will allow us to reach out to a wider section of people. This edition has brought together luminaries from the cultural music industry in two days of meetings, discussions, panels, and live performances. More than 22 presentations were initiated from countries like India, Nepal, Iran, UAE, Palestine, Egypt, Jordan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, South Korea and Sri Lanka. We have been successful in putting up a gamut of topics that ranged from the Classical to Rock, Indigenous to Jazz, Folk to EDM. We have travelled through Central Asia presenting poetic mysticism of Tajik music and digging into the exotic Malaysian Sarawak Culture. The secular music of Mohori Ensemble from Cambodia to address societal changes through music from Jerusalem. The sound of Okinawan music to the festivals of Nepal. The colour of Indonesian music to the melodies of gayageum from Korea, we had it all.
