Kaushik a composer, sound designer and producer living in the East of India, has been involved in the music business for over 30 years.
He has designed sound for European Live Arts Network, scored music and conducted vocal symphony for 400 children and 250 youth at two different music festivals, composed music for theatre, documentaries and Bollywood feature films. Besides music, his passion remains documentary filmmaking. One of his documentaries “Wish I could sing forever” won the best documentary award at the International Golden Mirror Film Festival in 2022. Dutta worked as a composer and musician for the world-class multilingual British production ‘A Mid Summer Night’s Dream’ and performed at over 300 shows abroad. He has been a speaker and panelist for many international projects, including the jazz master class series organized by the National Arts Centre, Ottawa in collaboration with Manhattan School of Music, USA. He was invited as a visiting tutor at the London Roundhouse, UK and Singapore Music Academy. In 2017 he was appointed as one of the Vice Presidents of GloMMnet (Global Music Market Network) and a judge for the 3rd Asia World Music Awards.
He founded Song of Soul, creating sustainable projects for the folk music fraternity and the Artistic Director of the ‘Kolkata International Music Festival’. Kaushik launched ‘Musiconnect Asia’, a platform to bring together the Asian music fraternity under one umbrella. He is the acting President of this platform and founder of Asia Music Summit. He is the CEO of SOS Productions an international event and artist management agency, having successfully executed international projects in France, Poland, Malaysia, Singapore, Bangladesh and South Korea. In 2022, he was the recipient of International Collaboration Programme grant for a multi disciplinary year long project supported by Arts Council of England and the British Council.
